The hotel was clean, minimal - that was expected - the staff and their attitude - oh dear. When you add up all the extras - may have well gone for a £1000 chalet. Not even a continental breakfast included. Just bread and jam and a “hot option” - one egg per person. Still they were happy to charge 6 euros for a beer in the bar. No snow, that was a shame and no easy transport to the snow - just the two Alpine Elements buses doing nothing other than collecting a few clean towels – that was a travesty. The staff were always busy loafing in the lounge though. Could have laid on one day trip.
My advice with Alpine Elements is look at the small print and the extras – the costs add up to an expensive trip. Upgrade a balcony, upgrade to an on suite bathroom, upgrade to cooked breakfast, upgrade you ski pass to the full area. Still the chef was good considering the budget they gave him – for sure he will be elsewhere in 2012 and so will I.

We spent an awesome week in Les Gets at Hotel Chamois with friends. So impressed at the quality of the food served every day and really good value packed lunches available to order the night before. The bar was friendly and comfortable and easily the cheapest place to get a drink straight from the slopes, during their happy hour. The live music evening was great - would have been nice to have one more! The hotel has a really spacious board/ski/boot room. Whilst our bedroom was not huge, it was perfectly adequate for a week's holiday and more importantly was clean and comfortable. I would definitely go back to this hotel and recommend it to others - it was excellent value for money.

We spent Christmas here, and despite less than perfect snow, we had a wonderful time. The rooms are fairly basic, but adequate, and clean. A few more hanging pegs for ski gear would improve matters. The food was wonderful throughout - we are 1 carnivore and 1 veggie, and both our meals were superb every night, as were the after-ski cakes. The bar was friendly, and, by French Alp standards, reasonably priced - especially if you buy the discount card. What really made our holiday though were the staff, who would not have been more friendly and helpful.
Our only negative points were the noise in the corridors late at night - mostly caused by the unaccompanied children in the rooms next door and opposite ours, whilst their parents slept blisfully at the opposite end of the corridor! A little more soundproofing in the corridors would help.
The boot and ski room was large and warm, and only a short walk to the main ski lift. We would reccommend the upgraded ski pass, which enabled us to ski on great snow every day, even when the local slopes were getting decidedly bare.

Booked with Alpine Elements who provide a pretty accurate description of the hotel in their brochure - essentially we expected, and got, cheap and cheerful. The building is a bit run-down but the staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful, especially the hotel manager and the barman. The room was clean and a reasonable size, although we did specifically choose one with a balcony and en-suite facilities. Soundproofing is poor in the hotel and we were kept awake one night by folk returning from the local nightclub after 3am. The food was good quality and good value for the price. The location is handy for shops and bars, and about five minutes walk from the pistes.
Would I stay again? If I was concerned about the cost, yes, but generally I'd prefer to pay a bit more and get slightly better quality. I'd certainly use Alpine Elements again as everyone was very helpful and professional throughout.
