I booked this on the spare of the moment and with minimal research for a skiing weekend with friends. We stayed for three nights and found it a good choice. It is situated about a 10/15 minute walk uphill from the village centre and the main lifts which would be a problem if carrying skis but fortunately we were able to leave our gear at the ski shop in town and saunter back in snow boots. There is a free ski bus stop about 30 metres away if you prefer not to walk.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the rooms warm and comfortable. We chose the less expensive rear facing rooms which were fine unless staring out of the window a lot is important to you. The beds were great and the showers hot and powerful. We did experience some noise from late night revellers but it wasn't a major problem and the receptionist apologised for it without prompting.

The breakfast (we were on B&B) was first class. A great selection and excellent coffee. We didn't regret not taking half board as there was a great choice of Savoyard restaurants within a five minute walk. We found three crackers for our evening meals.

I would happily recommend the Beaulieu and indeed La Clusaz for a short break and incidentally it is a good choice for non-skiers too with a swimming pool, ice rink, cinema, good shops and top notch dining all nearby.

We stayed at this hotel over the Xmas holiday. It is nothing fancy (a two star). Room was small and food was okay, but the staff was incredible. Some of the best service we've experienced. It's on a hill overlooking the La Clusaz ski resort (which is very nice). A bit of a walk to ski lifts (and an uphill walk back to the hotel after skiing). We'd stay there again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable and newly renovated. Breakfast was very good and the location in the town is excellent. Email the hotel for any pre-trip advice such as booking transfers or ski-hire.

Just come back from a great week in this hotel.

Really helpful staff, who went out of their way to look after us, particularly as we had an early departure on Saturday morning.

Great rooms, we had one with a balcony and views which cost about about 30E extra for the week, well worth it. (Not sure what a north facing room with no balcony and no views would be like). Very clean and cosy, felt like a real log cabin not an anonymous hotel.

Location is great, just 5-10 mins walk from the centre of the village (whereas other places need a bus), but far enough out to be quiet in the evenings.

Great breakfasts, with a large selection including hams, cheeses and eggs in addition to the traditional bread / jam / pastries etc.

Even though the snow in a lower resort such as La Clusaz can't be guaranteed, sitting in front of the log fire with a coffee and a book from the library was a great way to while away the afternoon.
