Our family of four chose this hotel for 3 nights of our vacation in France based on the reviews and it was wonderful! We booked a small cabin (separate structure outside the main hotel). The decor of this little cabin was even more charming than the pictures on the website. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable and large and my kids loved the bedroom tucked up under the eaves. Everything was very clean and truly non-smoking. The view out the windows were gorgeous.
We purchased the half board with our room (breakfast and dinner every day) and this turned out be be a highlight of our entire vacation. The dining room is naturally romantic - fire burning in a large, rustic fireplace, peaked roof overhead, with large old beams in view, lots of windows looking out towards the view and charmingly set tables. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed and the food was amazing! My family's favorite appetizer was a delicious seafood pot au feu on the menu one evening - filled with plump scallops ina flavorful vegetable broth. My favorite in-between course mouthful was a fascinating little creme brulee made with beaufort cheese. It was simultaneously sweet and savory, creamy and crunchy. Wow!
I don't want to miss mentioning the wonderful staff. They were always friendly and very helpful and charming. David, who manned the bar/lounge area in the evening and spoke excellent English was very helpful with driving directions, places to visit and ski information.
We loved this place!
