Stayed in Altiport Chalets from the 21st Jan12 in Les Campanules.

Great Chalet. We had two amazing hosts in Diane and Steven. The food which they served up was great (except for one intresting onion soup)

The chalet has a jacuzzi and sauna on the ground floor which was brilliant as it was great to relax in after a day on the slopes.

The Chalet offers ski to the door which was great too.

Could not recommend more!

We stayed at the chalet "Diane" in 'Les Chalets de l'Altiport' from 21 jan till 28 jan 2012. Chalet Diane is a 14 - 16 persons chalet with balcony and a garage.

This wasn't our first chalet we rented in France and we were all very pleased with the level of comfort and, above all, the very spacious living room. At arrival the chalet was very tidy (this hasn't always been the case in other chalets we've rented elsewhere).

The arrangement of the rooms could have been slightly better I suppose. There were 2 large (1 of them being "very large") and 2 rather small rooms. The other ones were of a normal size. In the bedrooms on the bottom floor there were no lights but this problem was very quickly resolved.

The chalet 'Diane' is located next to the reception and from the slopes one can ski right into the chalet! I'm not joking! In the morning when you start your skiingday, it only takes 15 meters to reach the slope to the 'Quartier Bergers' from where the whole 'Grand Domaine' can be reached.
If you are looking for a "next to the bars and shop" accomodation, then search elsewhere. The chalet is located at about a 20minute walk from the 'Quartiers Bergers' (with shops and bars etc) and even further from the town center. This shouldn't be a big problem however since there are free busses from and to the town center.
We usually took our own car when we went après-skiing or grocery shopping.


Every morning there's a freshly baked bread delivery right at your chalet front door.
Which is very convenient!

A major dissapointment however was the lack of a WIFI-network. It is 2012 after all. And I clearly wasn't the only one in the hamlet complaining about this.
I must however give a thumbs up to Romain, the caretaker, who was very helpfull and understanding. He did more than his job required him to do and was always very helpfull. I was honestly dissapointed about the lack of WIFI and I suppose it will be installed within the next months. Be sure to buy a pre-paid mobile broadband modem in case WIFI hasn't been installed yet.

All in all, this was a very nice accomodation and I recommend it highly.
We already talked about going back since we were so pleased (IF they'll install WIFI).

Considering the resort, considering the price, considering the location, considering all the other chalets we already rented in the past; I'd say : Don't hesitate, rent this chalet (Diane).

We went and stayed at the Chalet Edelweiss in the Altiport and enjoyed the hosts and the hot morning breakfast. Rooms were clean with a nice view, sauna wasn't as we expected but was adequate, We enjoyed the 15 min walk to Les Bergers and did not mind having to carry our stuff, however next time will try a more "luxury" trip closer to the slopes :)... Great value for the money!

i have never had such a good value for money ski holiday in my life! We were a group of 16 staying at the chalet edelweiss with neilson super service ,hot cooked breakfast ,cereals fresh breads and preserves juice ,tea.coffee, bottles of water and snacks for the day delicious home made cakes ,shortbread tea ,coffee and juice on return from the slopes . I must say our evening meals wer the highlight of the day canapes and sparkling wine followed by 4 courses with the wine flowing freely the food was of an excellent standard and quality. Our chalet hosts bonner and katie wre attentive and obliging always asking if the evening meal was to everyones taste they couldnt have been better.The rooms were comfortable but maybe the walls were a bit thin but as a party of family and friends taking up the whole chalet it didnt matter .Well done bonner ,katie and neilson we had a brilliant time
