For £290 for a night what would you expect? Certainly not a dirty hotel, with unclean bedlinen on fold-up beds & no staff. Seriously don't bother staying here.

I stayed at the hotel because Geneva had an exhibition on and was 'full'. I knew it would be about 8k from Geneva central to the hotel in a cab, but locating the place with almost impossible late at night. When I then checked in (about 23h00) there were no staff to book a cab back the next day. So in the morning, again no staff work until 08h00, I had to muck around at 07h00 finding coins from local shops so that I could use the tram system back to Geneva.

Dirty, no service and no security.
No prices for long periods. Internet connection Lousy...
Breakfast is just ridiculous for the price they charge...

This place is a little gem if you are happy with a 15 minute tram ride into town. The hotel is in a run down area on the border with France and usually has a tramp convention hanging around outside.
However, once you are in you feel all of a sudden secure with a pin code for the door and a security card for the lift.
The rooms are masive with a kitchen and living room. Heating is plentiful but the toilet takes at least an hour to refil after flushes which is annoying if you need to go as many times as my wife!

All in all it is great value, right by the tram stop and comfortable.

I was there one year ago. In the meantime management has changed (2010).
New managers seems to be willing to improve this residence.
