Booked this as everything in Geneva was booked out or outrageously expensive due to Telecoms conference. A link was sent by a colleague as it was near where he lived and he could give me a lift to and from the office. Having booked it (2 nights) I then looked at Trip Advisor and thought "Oh Dear"!
Perhaps because I wasn't expecting much it wasn't as bad as I feared. I found the Reception staff pleasant and helpful, ditto the restaurant staff.
Room was clean (bar a few cobwebs). Bed was ok, it was a proper bed not a futon as mentioned by another reviewer.
Breakfast was fine, not much cooked breakfast, just some scrambled eggs and a few sausages but a reasonable continental selection. Tea & coffee were curtesy of a machine which wasn't great.
The hotel seemed to be popular with coach parties so is probably typical of a 3 star. Would I stay again, well I wouldn't go out of my way to return but I wouldn't totally refuse either.

We (family of 4) stayed at this hotel while on a package trip. The ambience is good and the rooms are comfortable. Some rooms have a kichenette shrouded by a wardrobe! The rooms on each floor are on either side of a long corridor. The aisle carpet deserved better cleanliness.
The service was good- breakfast lacked character though!
The place around is good for long walks. All in all, okay for the price.

Be warned, although it is just over the French border it is still a € 24 trip to palexpo convention center and the geneva airport GVA.

Our TV didn't work and one of the front desk employees refused to help since it was late in the evening, we asked if we could have subsidized internet access. He refused. Terrible customer service.

- pull out futon "bed"
- no nearby restaurants
- poor customer service overall

First experience was in 2006. Booked two rooms based on what I was shown as an example of their remodled rooms. Ended up in a room that was more like a "living room" with kitchenette attatched that had a low quality sofa bed and next to no wiggle room.

Second experience in 2007. Booked three rooms that were mysteriously canceled prior to arrival without notification. We showed up and had massive difficulties getting rooms.

The hotel is nothing like the pictures you see in the Best Western book. The pictures are misleading and the overall hotel is in poor repair. Most carpet in the hallways looks like it has soot stains from a fire. Much of the furnishings are very worn looking with holes in apholstery and cracked lamp shades. The same lift has been broken both times I visited this hotel. The pool has never been open - or even had water in it for that matter.

Do not be fooled by the price. You are getting a sub-par stay if you go in with expectations.
