Carro is a piece of colloquial France, a little french fishing village where the market comes 2 or 3 times a week and you can buy fresh fish daily fresh from the boats as they come in at the harbourside. small local beach neat the Residhotel and a larger on round the headland , both with facilities for eating /shops. boulangerie/grocers etc. childrens playground and pool in the complex but still very quiet and paeceful -not for those who like a lot of nightlife! Good facilities in the villas, possibly checkout could be a bit better organised when it comes to checking rooms/getting away on time. been there twice now and kids still ask to go back. local large supermarkets in Martiques a few miles away with a sommelier and shopping centre also. other local shops and restaurants to sustain you if you are without transport
