“good off-season family accommodations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

We were 2 adults and 3 children in a small 3-bedroom apartment for a week at Christmas. It was clean and well-stocked, but the bedrooms were pretty tiny. The living area was big enough for us to add our small tree and gifts, and it was very cheerful and bright with a high ceiling and large sliding glass doors to a ground-level terrace. The laundry facilities are small - two washers & one dryer - but they're reasonably priced and in good working order. The complex has a nice little playground and it's an easy walk into the little town or to the shore of the Med. We appreciated the quiet location as well as the easy highway access to Martigues, Marseille, Aix-en-Pce, etc. We have had very good luck with the ResidHotel chain, with one slight exception, and Cap Bleu didn't let us down.

“Very French but too quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

The accommodation was very nice albeit quite small and we were only four people (we stayed in an apartment which should have housed 6 people). Everything was clean except for the floor which we had to clean soon after arrival. Mattress was very hard and the cushions were too soft! But all in all it was very nice with a lovely pool and tennis court nearby. Hairdryer was given against a deposit and cleaning facilities were also available. Reception were very nice and helpful and spoke quite good English. If arriving late, make sure to call otherwise you will remain locked outside! The village is also very nice with a fish market that opens everyday but it only has one grocery store and the closest supermarket is in Carry. There is a flea market on Sunday.

“Do not go to Residhotel Cap Bleu”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

Positive points: the residence is close to a small harbor which is lovely, you can buy fresh fish every morning, the place is quiet
Negative points: the residence is far from everything, there is no supermarket and the beaches are extremely dirty and crowded. When we arrived the house was not clean, there was some urine on one mattres, the sink was leaking, and the air conditioned became out of order during our stay and was not repaired.

Great accomodation, clean and well thought out.
Facities were good, and the village is lovely.
Complex is quiet. Lots of parking in complex,
Pool and childrens play area were good and well kept. Reception staff were friendly and polite band willing to help.

“colloquial france with amenities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2009

Carro is a piece of colloquial France, a little french fishing village where the market comes 2 or 3 times a week and you can buy fresh fish daily fresh from the boats as they come in at the harbourside. small local beach neat the Residhotel and a larger on round the headland , both with facilities for eating /shops. boulangerie/grocers etc. childrens playground and pool in the complex but still very quiet and paeceful -not for those who like a lot of nightlife! Good facilities in the villas, possibly checkout could be a bit better organised when it comes to checking rooms/getting away on time. been there twice now and kids still ask to go back. local large supermarkets in Martiques a few miles away with a sommelier and shopping centre also. other local shops and restaurants to sustain you if you are without transport

  • Liked — facilities for kids but peaceful and quiet location
  • Disliked — wet room rather than proper shower enclosure in bathroom
