There is something wrong about the place. It is very... unbalanced I should say.
It is a chateau with a big territory, a palm grove in front of the building and vineyards along the path to the beach, a SPA and a restaurant. Sounds great but the territory is rather untended, the SPA dressing rooms absolutely uncomfortable, SPA's pool terribly small, the restaurant unreasonably overpriced and the way to the beach interrupted by a road with not even a zebra for the guests to cross it. Guess it's rather dangerous for families with children. The beach itself was ok.
I know it is Cote d'Azur but it was too expensive for what you get even for the region.
We had a Junior Suite for a week. Paying 510 euro per night you expect to find something special in a room. What we found was a spacious room with three windows overlooking the sea side (no direct sea view). Thick curtains on the windows and comfortable bed made it a wonderful place for sleeping, it was all-in-all comfortable enough and elegant. But what was a total frustration - a bathroom. It was plastic! Yes, I'm not kidding, white plastic drawers I mean. Total disappointment. There vere very good toiletries there but they didn't change the general impression of being deceived. No water offered. No fruit. Even breakfast not included in the price.
I think the main thing it lacks - the soul. The owners definitely neglected to think it over to make it really comfortable for their guests. It is not a gorgeous chateau we expected to find, just an ordinary beach hotel - we felt ok, quite comfortable but not special and I doubt we will come back.
