Style of bedroom very nice, just a pity the AC not more powerful. Bathroom got very wet after showers. Pool area great. View from breakfast terrace fab. V short stroll down to the port & all the restaurants.

Hotel La Rade worked very well for us. We had reserved a "private" garage (at an additional price of 15 Euros per day) since we thought it would be more relaxing to be car-free during our two night stay in Cassis. Though the garage was a little pricey and there are 7 or 8 free parking places at the front of the hotel, the peace of mind was worth it to us. We loved the quick access to the port and found it easy to walk down to dinner and to the laundromat.

We LOVED the view of the port from the breakfast room windows. The pool was a pleasure and overall we found the decor to be very pleasing. Our standard room was small, but well-designed and well-equipped. Breakfast is on the expensive side but was a full notch or two above what we found at other accommodations on our three week trip. For coffee lovers, they offer Nespresso capsule espresso!

I booked a two-night stay at this hotel in April 2011 through an online travel site. I had planned to visit with a friend for a couple of days at the end of a Paris tour in July. I did not realize when I booked the room that the hotel had a no refund policy. In mid-May, my friend lost her job and had to cancel the trip to Cassis with me. I then hoped to change my plans and tried to cancel the reservation at this hotel.

To my chagrin, when the reservation was canceled, I was issued absolutely no refund. I then contacted the hotel via email to explain the problem, but got no response. The online travel agency also attempted to negotiate the refund but got nowhere. I now am stuck with a bill for $500 for 2 nights (in a 2 1/2 star hotel no less), for a room I will not be able to use. I expected to get at least one night's refund when canceling over 6 weeks in advance of travel. I've visited many Best Western hotels before, and never had to pay the whole balance up front or lose a deposit when canceling in advance. I feel completely ripped off and have no doubt that Hotel La Rade will book the room for another customer after keeping my money.
Buyer beware- this hotel has a no refund policy, and terrible customer service. I would never do business with them again.

Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Wonderful views. All around, very enjoyable stay.
