It has been a long time since I booked this truly awful hotel through Brittany Ferries.

My husband and I arrived during a heat wave. We had been excited about staying here and had travelled up from La Baule for our two night stay.

When we arrived we were greeted by a surly looking receptionist with a disgusting parrot in the reception area, it looked like a nursing home (one you send your mother to if you don't get on)!

The receptionist gave us a key (no welcome). When we got to the room we could not believe it, it was a tiny smelly broom cupboard, the double bed could barely fit in the room and the bed had a horrible brown blanket on it. The only view was what I assumed was the extractor coming up from the kitchen below. It was unbearably hot and nasty in there.

We returned to reception and asked for another room. The snooty woman told us she was fully booked and wasn't in the slightest bit interested in us (presumably because we had already paid through Brittany Ferries).

We left and found another hotel in the town for the night.

We returned the next day and handed our key back and left.

Both the hotel and the town was horrendous, we got back to La Baule as quickly as possible and managed to book into our old hotel.

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy and give it one star only because you can't choose an option to give it none.
