Booked this hotel as it was the only one available at Futuroscope offering a "family room". In fact, the so-called family room was a standard size double or twin, into which had been squeezed a set of bunk beds and 2 single beds at right-angles to each other. Consequently, one single bed had no head-board, just a gap to the shelf on the wall. There was only space for one person to move around the room at any one time! It took some co-ordination to get the children ready for bed!
The decor was simple, and the shower room tiny. There was no shower curtain or screen, and the shower tray filled up at an alarming rate, threatening to flood the room. Yes, it did remind me too, of an aircraft loo! (see earlier review).
The self-service buffet breakfast consisted simply of pastries, choice of 2 cereals, yoghurt, juice, and hot drinks from machines. All self-service, and quite basic - no plates, just pile your choice onto a tray!
There didn't appear to be a restaurant on site, but we found a nice restaurant across the way, opposite the Novotel. In the other direction there was a restaurant serving pizza and tapas.
We picked this hotel purely for the location and the fact that we could walk to Futuroscope (why stay here otherwise?), but, in hindsight, I wish we had booked two twin rooms at another hotel - there are plently to choose from at Futuroscope, or stayed farther out and driven to Futuroscope where there's a huge car park (fee payable).
Pros: Price - for those on a budget it's quite economical, plus you can walk to Futuroscope.
Cons: Size of "family" room, breakfast. Decor, soulless atmosphere.
