Stayed here for 3 nights in a quadruple room with two children. The room was neat and tidy with two single beds and a bunk bed for two children. The room was less spacious than we expected but just enough to move around after keeping couple of medium sized bags.
The beds were ok if not very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and towels changed every day as required. Air-conditioning in the room was effective and adjustable to the need. There was a flat screen TV but was unable to find a single English channel. Having said that this hotel seems to be mainly for French guests as I was unable to find any information leaflets or brochures in English.
People at the reception desk were helpful during the couple of times I had interacted with them. We had breakfast at the hotel and had reasonably good collection of standard items. As we were just using it for overnight stay and out during the day we never used their pool or the gym. One disappointment we had was that the hotel didn’t have a single leaflet of the park map and details. As we reached in the evening we were hoping to get the details to plan for the next day park visit but that didn’t work out.
There was NO coffee/team making facility; NO mini fridge; NO safe. Though it was a 2 star accommodation we were expecting at least a kettle and a mini fridge.
There is a bus stop just outside the hotel. If you are travelling by bus (Line 1) from Poitiers then the hotel stop is after the ‘Palais de Congress’. Though we didn’t walk from the hotel to the park, it seems like a 10 minutes walk to reach the park.
One night we hired a taxi to come to the hotel from Poitiers (near Notre Dame church) and that cost us 30 Euros (end of August 2011).
