“We cannot wait to go back”

That hotel is wonderful! We stayed in a lots of hotels before, none of them matches the originality of the concept and the friendliness of the owner! And as a bonus the price includes a very good continental breakfast!
Being also really well located, we cannot recommend it enough! Make sure you're going and see by yourself, you will not be disappointed!

“One word to describe it.....SUPERB.”

We stayed at this B&B prior to leaving on the tunnel after holidaying in France and Spain.
As mentioned in the other reviews, from the outside the place doesnt look too inviting but once the door opened we were greated by the very friendly owner and we were shown to our room. Upon opening the door to the bedroom we were transported to Morocco. It was beautiful in every way and Sandrine had even gone to the trouble of installing an additonal bed for our teenage daughter.
Breakfast was lovely and again nothing was too much trouble for our host, who kindly brough breakfast to the room, as our typical teenager preferred to stay in bed...
Communciation from the hotel was excellent (including cancelling one additional room I had reserved with no extra charge)
All in all and excellent stay and would certainly like to go back to check out the other three themed rooms.

“Fantastic hotel, a real treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2010

We stayed at this hotel last August. What a treat! Tucked away in a back street inside a simple looking building from the outside you would have no idea of the luxury inside. On arrival we were greeted by the owner and welcomed into the warm, softly lit soothing interior of the hotel. Chilled out music played in the background and scented candles filled the room with lovely smells. We were shown to our room, the Agadir Suite. Each suite is themed on a different country and ours was Morocco. The suite was lit with candles and Moroccan music was playing in the background. The suite consisted of a large open plan room with a large bed, a table including moroccan style tea and cups and an en suite bathroom with a bath big enough for two. There was even a moroccan style gown in the wardrobe. The attention to detail was astounding. It was a perfect place to chill out and I didn't want to leave. Breakfast was great. Very french. Fresh bread, croissants and on ordering a hot chocolate I was brought a tray with 4 different varieties to choose from. The owners didn't speak much english and we didn't speak much french but they were absolutely lovely and it wasn't a problem at all so don't let that put you off. We are staying there this weekend in the Bombay suite and I can't wait! A little jewel not to be missed!

“Not too bad but ....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2009

Nice room, nice bathroom but nobody there on arrival, door locked had to go away for an hour, kept ringing the number left on the door but no reply.
Walls were a bit thin.
The breakfast was correct but lacked some ingredients.
Owners tried to be helpful, a little difficult as we speak no French and they very very little English.
We felt this b&b was overpriced for what it offered.

“Took a bet and won!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2009

This is a great little B&B in Calais. I was a bit nervous about booking it because there was only one review and it seemed like a new hotel. However, we were very happy with it and would definitely stay there again.

The proprietors are very nice and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. They speak a bit of English, but it's better if you speak a bit of French. But they are very nice about communication in English.

Apparently, the hotel is 8 months old (as of January 2009). The proprietors did the design and decoration of the four rooms, all themed from a different international city. The decor is very well done with lots of attention to detail. We stayed in the Agadir room, which was very spacious, complete with incense, Moroccan tea and a large bathtub in which two could fit comfortably. We loved the room. The only thing I would change would be to put some privacy around the toilet. It's in the room, but it's not privately separated from the room. If you don't mind this, then it's totally romantic and dreamy. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The breakfast room was also very lovely. And the prices were remarkably low; they could easily charge 50% more and it would be worth it.

I would and will definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
