We booked this hotel around the middle of October 2011 as just a place to spend the night after flying in from Scotland, and before beginning a drive through France the next day. We wanted something somewhat close to the airport, and that had a restaurant where we could have dinner after arriving later in the evening.
This hotel was perfect for both of those reasons. It was convenient and it had a nice restaurant with good food and good service. And Caroline at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We paid €117 for a king room that included breakfast. The breakfast was ok. Our room was a non-smoking room, nothing special but seemed adequate, and it appeared to be clean.
The problem that we had was that our room had a nasty, musty smell to it. This hotel allows pets, so my thought was that maybe the smell was dog or cat urine. We almost always avoid hotels that accept pets for this reason. My big mistake was accepting the room and not moving right away. Perhaps they would have moved us to a better room had we complained.
The room was also too warm, but the air conditioner didn't work. In the middle of the night when I was struggling with the smell and the warmth, I wanted to open the window to let some cool fresh air in, but couldn't because we were on the first floor in the back where it was very dark, and the window swung opened (with no screen) with just a small chain holding it from swinging all the way open. I believe anyone could have reached in to undo the chain, and crawl in the window.
Another problem that we had in the morning was that the hair dryer only worked intermittently. I did mention both of these issues to the manager in the morning when we checked out.
I gave this hotel an average rating because although we were unhappy with the room, the restaurant and the service were very good.
If we had to fly into the Paris Beauvais airport again, we would probably try to find another hotel that does not allow pets. If we was unable to find one, we would consider staying at this hotel again, but I would make very sure that the room smelled ok, and that we weren't on the first floor.
