“What a Hidden Gem!!!”

What a charming hotel!! I was 1/2 a block from the Notre Dame in Amiens, France. The hotel staff were so kind and professional. Our room was so cute with a vaulted, cathedral ceiling and plenty of room. Not the typical closet sized room you get in most of Europe. We really enjoyed our stay here and the hotel seemed to accent the experience of the city of Amiens. I would highly recommend it and would certainly go back. I didn't find a website for them, but I did find an email address. NOTE: I originally wrote to them in English and received no response. I then used the Google Translator to translate my email from English to French and I got a response within 15 minutes, ha ha! Setting up reservations via email was no problem (I didn't have to send my credit card # via email, and I don't recommend doing that either) and they were expecting us when we got there. Lovely town, too!

Room Tip: Email the hotel directly - don't think they have a website yet from which you can book.

“Beautiful little boutique hotel.”

We stayed at this hotel for several nights in September. What a gorgeous little hotel! The entry and restaurant ooze European charm, and the rooms are individual and lovely. We stayed in a mult-level room with internal staircase and lovely little balcony. The room was simply fit out but had everything we needed, including free wifi and lots of charm. It was also very quiet and we slept well.

The hotel is located in a small cobblestoned street only meters from the famous Cathedral and was extremely well placed for visiting not only the cathedral but also the other lovely sites of Amiens as well as some fanastic restaurants.

Breakfast was good and served in a lovely room that was filled with light and lovely paintings on the wall.

A fabulous spot and one I would certainly return to. It felt like a real 'hidden gem'.

“Friendly - good value for money”

We stayed here last weekend after reading reviews on Tripadvisor. The hotel is in a pedestrianised area and the nearest parking was closed for refurbishment. So we parked about 5 mins walk away. This was no problem to us. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was perfectly adequate - good size and overlooking the inner courtyard garden. As has been said on previous posts, some of the towels were a little threadbare as was some of the bedlinen. However, everything was perfectly clean and fresh. The breakfast room was very light and airy with a good value continental breakfast selection which was replenished as necessary. The hotel is in a perfect location for visiting Amiens and several good bars and restaurants very close by. This is a good value 2 star hotel.

“Adequate budget hotel, a little noisy at night, parking some distance...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2010

We stayed here en route to Eurodisney and stayed for two nights. On arrival we had a little difficulty finding reception as that is at the restaurant not at the accomodation which is fifty yards down the street (and that's the address we had). You cannot access the front of the hotel via car as the street is blocked off and pedestrianised so you have to leave the car and find reception, get keys, establish where the parking is then go back, unload and move to the room and then finally take the car to the parking - all together a little hard work and would definitely benefit from some explanation on the website.

Parking height limit was 1.9 metres which meant I had to use on-street parking (due to roof box) which was a pain as the meter would only take a maximum of 4 hours at a time.

The proprietor was friendly and helpful and breakfast was a perfectly acceptable continental.

Night time was a little difficult as August is warm and even with Amiens being very quiet there are a good volume of pedestrians walking by late at night (gone midnight) which with the windows open did disturb us and our baby's sleep.

We took two rooms at 60 euros a night each which seemed a reasonable price.

Pros; good location right near cathedral and city centre, decent price, nice friendly proprietor
Cons; a little noisy at night, no lift (although we were only on the first floor), parking a long way away, parking only to 1.9 metres

“Would not stay here again!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

The Hotel is certainly quaint and the location is perfect. However, I would not stay here again and would not recommended it. The hallway stank of old sewage. The linens on our bed looked unchanged and the pillows smelled of dirt and sweat which did not allow for a good night's sleep. The place needs a good cleaning. Breakfast was meager.
