The French @ work booked me & my colleagues into the Kyriad mainly because it was around the corner from the office but it's ok only for 1 night, not great for long term stays!

Stopped at this hotel with my wife and then 8 month boy at Easter. We got 5 nights for the price of 3. The room was large with tea/ coffee making facilities, but you MUST have a car to stay here. It is outside town in a retail park near a hypermarket (which was good for the picnic food we ate in Amiens' parks).
Although a little "concrete" it was a good stopping point to see towns around Amiens as well as the centre ville itself. France has a lot of garden centres that sell pets (one was even selling donkeys). It is the ideal way to amuse the kids for free whilst travelling and there was one near the hotel with guinea pigs and fish. Not much else stood out about the hotel.
We ate one night by the river and spent a fortune at the trendiest restaurant with the most average of food. In fact their curried lamb tasted ok but no better than school dinners. We spent as much if not a little less (70 Euro incl wine) eating in front of the cathedral and had an excellent meal.

We booked this hotel due to the fact that the web site said it was a great staring point to explore Amiens...its on an industrial estate.

We were greeted by the rudest woman we have come across in the hospitality business, she laughed at me when I requested an iron. The room was infested by flys, the toilet was disgusting and the shower awful.

Rather than stay to eat we paid the 18 Euro taxi fare into town, and left as soon as we could.

This hotel was really very good value for money. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were most helpful. The room wasn't huge but clean and comfortable, nice bathroom and tv with Eurosport!

If you weren't travelling by car then you would have to bus or taxi into Amiens as the hotel is a good 10mins drive from Amiens centre. It took us, with the car, about 4 days to master the exits and entrances to the business park where the hotel is situated. But if you go wrong you can circle back and start again.

It was, when newly arriving and in the dark, pretty difficult to find but after asking for help twice we succeeded. And there's loads of parking.

The restaurant is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday but you can get a decent meal at the Carrefour cafeteria 2 mins walk away.
