We stayed here for two nights on July 4th and 5th. The Hotel was pretty much as advertised, pretty basic, but everything was clean, the place was very quiet, and everything worked the way it should. North Americans should realize however that when a hotel here says the bathrooms come equipped with a shower, more often than not it is a shower head on a hose, with no enclosure or curtain. It can get pretty chilly while you're soaping up! The hotel is on the corner of a busy street and a pedestrian walkway, so you have to unload your luggage in front of the hotel, and park across the street in a public underground parking lot. Pay at the hotel, it's cheaper. Our room was on the back, so, consequently, no view to speak of. Also, no air conditionning, which is not unusual in the north of France. The only real gripe, and this is for almost every hotel we stayed in during our two weeks in France, is the price of breakfast. You can do much better by venturing out of the hotel and finding a bakery, or "patisserie", where you can get a croissant, coffee and juice for about 5 Euros, instead of paying the 8 to 18 Euros for a buffet breakfast at the hotel, for essentially the same thing. So, unless you are a huge eater in the morning, the breakfasts are really not worth it. My suggestion is to find one the night before, and ask if they serve in the morning. You should know that many do not open on Mondays.
