We had checked in here for a one day visit to Mont-St-Michel Abbey. It was a mid-budget hotel, so I was expecting a smallish but clean room. Boy, was I surprised! The room was large and comfortable. It actually had three beds (one double bed and a single bed for a third person). I can safely say this is the largest room I have stayed in Europe at this budget. The staff was extremely helpful and cheerful They all speak good English, as this place sees a lot of tourists. The staff helped us with all our little queries (which way to the Abbey, where does the bus for Rennes stop etc. etc.). There's a bar and restaurant at this place - Normandy bar, and Le Pre Sale restaurant. Food was quite good there - there's a "tourist menu" which is a three course French meal for 19 euros. The breakfast buffet was lavish.

We stayed here on the 26 Nov 2011. Very nice staff who gave us some local information at check in. the room was spacious and while relaxing, we liked that the tv had english channels, and that there was in-room coffee/tea & kettle. Decor was a bit jarring (red/black striped curtains, wallpaper that had been painted over with orange paint, beige and white washroom). There was a funny residual smell from the cleaning products, but overall things were ok.
Everything functioned, and the bed was fine, but not as comfortable as the mercure hotel we'd stayed in the night before. We chose the hotel primarily for its location, and this paid off. it was easy to get to visit Mont Saint michel the next day. I would recommend walking or cycling to mont st michel from the hotel if you have time.

The hotel is perfect if you don't plan on driving. The bus from the train stops right outside the hotel, and its a easy walking distance to the Mont St Michel.

We had previously stayed at the Mercure in Nice and this is far better. Apparently this is because this Mercure is actually run by Mercure, as opposed to some others where the brand was sold to be managed by someone else. We also had dinner at the restaurant - the service was fantastic.

you can also rent bikes from the hotel (or the sister hotel opposite the road). Its also a great place if you drive to visit St Malo.

Me and my wife stayed for one night and we liked the hotel. The room is confortable and very clean. No elevator. Wi-Fi for free is a plus and the connection inside the room is very good. Car park is free. 20 minutes walking to the Mont if you want some exercise. Good bakery and supermarket in front of the hotel.
