Our room was up 2 flights of very steep staircases. the carpets of which very dirty and did not look as though had been cleeaned in along time. In fairness our room was clean although the bed was not cmfortable. The food and drink in the restaurant is over priced by a factor of 3. Worse we had to send back our main course twice before we had something edable. I was offered a 20% reduction on the meal still waiting refund despite several calls.

We’ve just come back from France where we had a stay at Mere Poulard Hotel on the Mont Saint Michel.

That was marvellous! The hotel and the restaurant are located in the heart of the medieval town. The hotel rooms are comfy, have many facilities and overlook the bay. We had a bit of luck and could enjoy the rising tide when the night fell. The place is so nice and offers so many viewpoints that we could have walked the narrow stone paved streets of the Mont Saint Michel for hours!!

Of course we went to Mere Poulard Restaurant to taste the famous omelet and we now understand its worldwide renown. We had the omelet as a main course so we felt we had to go back there the following day to take it for dessert and try other dishes. We let our taste buds work overtime and that was absolutely tremendous!

You have to go there. You will like it!

Arriving at St. Michel and seeing the hotel just at the entry in the Mont is wonderful. Food is fabulous, location i can;t tell (wonderful), great service, a little bit expensive, but the other things compensate. If you want to live a dream stay at Mere Poulard.

After reading some reviews we decided to stay in Mont St Michel for 1 night . Very unique experience .Everything I read was correct .When most of the tourists leave it is an eerie , neat , unforgetable place to be .Lots of places to eat, little pricey but you are paying for the location ,The hotel was basic , small .clean and we had no interaction with the staff other than check in . If I had to do it all over I would arrive a little later and wander around until most of the bus loads of tourists left , have a nice supper .wander around the abbey at night which is amazing , get in my car around 10:30 - 11 and drive to the hotel 2 minutes away and save $150 bucks ,with breakfast included .
