We were driving from Venice back to England and decided an overnight stop somewhere on route would be necessary to recharge batteries. However, on arrival (at 1:30am) we were shown to our rooms to find a puddle of an unknown liquid all over the floor in the triple room and breadcrumbs in the children's bunk bed. On inspection of the other twin room we had pre-booked we found a number of short black hairs in the bed which obviously hadn't been changed since the last occupant even though our reservation had been booked some months in advance and the room was known to be in use that night! The facilities where communal but my no means clean and lacking in basic provisions of toilet paper. Once these flaws were pointed out to the night cleaner on duty at the time her only response was to mop up the puddle and to begrudgingly go in search of some clean sheets for us to ourselves change as she refused to help in that capacity. Suffice to say we did not say the night and the potential prospect of spending the night in the car far surpassed the revulsion we felt upon experiencing half an hour in this establishment.
