Rooms clean but very small and basic. Wardrobe in double room had metal doors making it more like a locker, bathroom very small with a stupid folding plastic door, window shutter not working so unable to shut out noise. Shocked when a stranger let himself into our room with his own key, make sure you manually lock your door when leaving and entering your room. Family room for three was just a double room with an extra single bed squashed in making it very cramped. This room did not have a wardrobe so nowhere to hang clothes. The folding door on the bathroom was very narrow making entry difficult. If these rooms really have been renovated, can't imagine what they were like previously.

The main staircase had safety hazards making it dangerous. Breakfast was quite good but not available on 2nd morning due to no electricity in hotel (this could have been due to the strikers and blockades outside the hotel). 2 nights was certainly long enough.

The good points were that we did NOT experience any bed bugs, free car parking, convenient for shops and restaurants and a nice view from front rooms.

So awful - unimaginable! They insisted I pay before I even saw the room! That alerted me! Only ever been asked to do that once & as I said to the desk it was a catastrophe! This was too. They not only insisted I had to pay - having booked through Tripadvisor.. but they also wanted me to pay for breakfast! That at least I was able to decline! Damage limitation!
How I wish I had read others reports here.. before a very rash decision! How could you ever normally go wrong staying in a hotel in France? Simply: stay here! It wasn't even cheap! I had stayed at a hotel previously half the price - with little expectation & it was much better!

There were vomit marks on the carpet either side of the bed! Blackmould in the bathroom.

The whole place needed disinfecting! So much so they managed to spray their guests with the deodoriser which went off every time the corridor door opened!

I too must apologise publically to the couple whose door - I inadvertently opened.. I thought I had been told room 101 & it was room 111.. I opened the door with a key of another room & 'disturbed' a couple in bed! I could well have had other intentions! (Not on this occasion!

Please do not stay here...

Stayed in room 210 for two nights in August 2010, a late booking.

Convenient as near car ferry and Naussica (the huge aquarium) and most major roads. This makes it a bit noisy with the windows open in the evening. Free parking is always nice too.

Hotel is basic as you would expect for a two star, but the rooms were clean and breakfast for Euro 7.50 as would be expected in France (cereals, yogurt, meats, cheese, fruits, coffee tea, juices). A bit on the small side as expected and the only really 'weird' aspect is the rubber accordian door to the bathroom.

Staff were very helpful with directions and the the odd request.

Would recommend for a short, basic stay.

stayed for two nights bitten to bitsby bed bugs wished i had seen the bed bug review previously. The first night the room stunk of fish. overlooked lorry park. Never go there again look elsewhere.
