“Beautiful and quiet boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

In May, 2011 my husband and I drove from St Remy de Provence to Rodez, via the impressive and beautiful Viaduc De Millau (bridge). We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in this lovely boutique hotel. The hotel décor is contemporary yet welcoming, and very attentive staff added to the pleasure of our stay. Our room was also very comfortable, spotlessly clean with a very large ensuite, and lovely toiletries. We had no problem sleeping as the hotel is in a very quiet area!!
Breakfast was very satisfying, plenty of variety, lovely fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, breads and pastries, tea or coffee and delicious and freshly squeezed orange juice, this was served in the breakfast room, or if the weather is favourable out on the terrace. Room service is also available, which we found was a real asset for dinner on our first night.
Rodez is a central place to stay and drive to some of the lovely French villages in the area, we especially enjoyed Sauveterre-de-Rouergue and Belcastel and of course the lovely scenery on the rural roads.
Have to add at this point, that the Viaduc De Millau is well worth a visit, it is an amazing example of design and construction, its setting is breathtaking, there is also a very modern visitor’s centre and a viewing platform that is well worth the uphill walk.
We highly recommend the Ferme de Bourran Hotel, and we thank the very attentive and professional staff, Francoise and Vincent for making our stay happy and memorable

“Lovely chic hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2010

This a beautifully decorated and chic hotel, with wonderful rooms with beautiful fixtures and fittings. Great and large bathroom, the room had fridge, DVD player, flat screen TV, and very comfortable bed.

The breakfast was also excellent.

The hotel is a short drive away from Rodez centre, but within walking distance is a great bar (Bibliotique ) and restaurants.

“Excellent Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 June 2009

We stayed at this hotel in May 2009 for 4 nights and were generally very impressed.
Good points:
Beautiful room and views (we could see all the way across to Rodez Cathedral);
Friendly staff (some English spoken)
Good location, handy for the airport.
Not so good points:
Breakfast was good but boring, loads of food if you tick all the boxes, but it never changes;
No bar or restaurant at the hotel, though there were some nice cafes an easy walk from the hotel;
Staff were not available all the time (more like a B&B than a hotel);
Not possible to walk into the city centre (you can get a bus into the centre for 20 cents)

“Outstanding”

I am currently writing from our lovely bedroom (no 5) where hubby is reading and I am working via fastline connection quite cosy in my bathrobe (offered for use in hotel by La Ferme)

I have a b&b in Normandy and have to admit I am blown away by this place, very design, extreme attention to EVERY detail, great bedding, lighting, bathroom, ensuite products, flatscreen tv, quiet CLEAN super service and to top it off the best breakfast we have had in years! All this and for a most reasonable price!

I absolutely recommend this place and cannot falt a thing, (other than the location...dont be put off when you drive up, its just outside of Rodez and the immediate area isnt too exciting) but the hotel, food, service and value are outstanding and you are an easy 5 minute ride into town

Enjoy! We did! (We are on our way to Michel Bras in Lagiole and highly recommend it here for those of you flying into Rodez for your first night)
