In May, 2011 my husband and I drove from St Remy de Provence to Rodez, via the impressive and beautiful Viaduc De Millau (bridge). We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in this lovely boutique hotel. The hotel décor is contemporary yet welcoming, and very attentive staff added to the pleasure of our stay. Our room was also very comfortable, spotlessly clean with a very large ensuite, and lovely toiletries. We had no problem sleeping as the hotel is in a very quiet area!!
Breakfast was very satisfying, plenty of variety, lovely fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, breads and pastries, tea or coffee and delicious and freshly squeezed orange juice, this was served in the breakfast room, or if the weather is favourable out on the terrace. Room service is also available, which we found was a real asset for dinner on our first night.
Rodez is a central place to stay and drive to some of the lovely French villages in the area, we especially enjoyed Sauveterre-de-Rouergue and Belcastel and of course the lovely scenery on the rural roads.
Have to add at this point, that the Viaduc De Millau is well worth a visit, it is an amazing example of design and construction, its setting is breathtaking, there is also a very modern visitor’s centre and a viewing platform that is well worth the uphill walk.
We highly recommend the Ferme de Bourran Hotel, and we thank the very attentive and professional staff, Francoise and Vincent for making our stay happy and memorable
