Under new ownership since May - very friendly & helpful . Owner speaks English.
A+++ for me because it's the first time in a 2 star hotel that I haven't had to put the mattress on the floor to overcome sagging or soft springs (sensitive back). Great central location where you can watch the cafe life from the road-side bedrooom windows (bit noisy though so go for a room at the back if it's hot). Five minutes walk to the cable car. Free high speed wifi in the room with transmitters on every floor. Cybercafe next door run by the hotel (2euros for 15mins). Lift to three floors with a few steps to the fourth floor.

If you don't want to pay the 8euros for breakfast, go to the great bakery next to the church - La Ronde des Pains and eat in in the small square or grab a coffee in the bars around. Opposite the hotel is a Le Glacier, a good value restaurant (set menus from 13 euros) - fast & efficient service (Spanish witresses?) which is often lacking in France as the French are happy to take time eating but this can be frustrating with kids.

For a change of pace, take the 20 minute mountain drive to Bossost in Spain & try the Great tapas bars and cheaper alcohol!

We're just back from 2days in Luchon staying at hotel Bellevue. The hotel is located in the main street, just a few minutes away from the "eggs" taking you up to the ski station of superbagnère. We asked for a room on the highest floor, at the back of the hotel to avoid the noise of the street. I was very surprised to see that we actually got all that ! 3rd floor, door opening on the mountains behind. We were a bit disapointed by the size of the room though (The closet had to be in the bathroom) and by the fact it didn't seem at all luxurious as on the photos. Shower is extremely small as well !!! Was really hard to fit both of us there, although we are not overweight (yeah, we always shower together to spare water :-) It also smelled a bit like cigarette although it's forbidden to smoke in the rooms. We thought the room we had was not quite up to the 65 euros we paid for a night.
Staff was very friendly, we checked in very quickly, checked out as fast, had no probleme at all.
Last point... The Spa... Ahhhhh the spa... Was just amazing. Not very large but soooo cozy, beautifully decorated with a Thai inspiration. It's 6 euros per person but it's worth it. When you come back from a good day of ski, you will enjoy this peaceful atmosphere. Spa comprises individual lockers, a little changing room, a small fitness room with 2 machines, a nice shower, a sauna for 2 people and an AWESOME jaccousi. Just for that Jaccousi, even though we were disappointed by the room, we would consider going back there if we had to pick a hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Bellevue last june. We were totally charmed by this confortable and cosy hotel. The owners have succeed in keeping the romantic style combined with the modern confort. We got a warm welcome at arrival and Joelle and Christophe Audran were taking care of us like family members! They were very friendly and offered us a very good service. One 'must' in this hotel is the fantastic wellness room with the Spa in asiatic style (beautiful) even the sauna and the small fitness room. After one day walking in the moutains, it is so relaxing to spend some time in the spa and sauna! ((: As the hotel is situated in the nice shopping main street we enjoyed the good food in one of the closeby restaurants. The private parking of the hotel was also great and easy for us. In one word: PERFECT!
