We've just had a couple of nights here for the walking around Luchon, and couldn't have chosen a nicer or more welcoming base; and all the positive reviews posted in the past few years are very much the case - well done Nicole and Daniel. Our bed in the room "Rouge Gorge" was enormous and very comfortable; and we enjoyed the balcony and views over the road to the park. The free wi-fi worked well and it was very quiet despite the proximity of the road. However it may be that in the height of summer the front-facing rooms could get quite hot, needing to keep the well-insulated windows open; so consider a rear-facing room when you book. Nicole does a superb 4 course Table d'Hotes, including generous wine, for 25 euros, but orders need to be placed by 10am, so on your day of arrival make sure you phone or book this in advance. There didn't seem to be any better eating out options in Luchon itself. The breakfast is copious and of high quality.
