“All the comforts of home with added style!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

Stylish and wonderfully equipped appartments. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, James, Ruth and Louise. With two little children holidays can be alot of effort but our hosts did everything to make sure our stay was comfortable.

Cauteret gave us tons of snow in our first two days! and even though we weren't snowboarding because of the children there was always something to do. The 'piste de luge' at le pont d'espagne on a sunny winters day is a 'must do' for anyone visting the area. We will be back, thanks for a fabulous holiday. Simon and Nicky

“Combination rest and active”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

Cauterets is a good base for walkers and cyclists. You'll find both your rest as possibilities to be active. Owners have plenty advices and maps of the environment to show you the way. They are very friendly and helpful.
The apartment is modern, neat and attractive. With all modern conveniences. Free use of the washing machine.
Two minutes walking distance to the Centre. In the same street is a pizzeria where you can buy delicious Italian dishes and pickup. We plan to go back 2012.

“Home away from home.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

Muclares is a sweet find in the pristine town, Cauterets, in the Pyrenees. You can't beat Muclares for location, value, and easy of use. My husband and I have visited Cauterets the last three summers and plan to go back 2012. We have stayed at Muclares every time and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Louise, Ruth, and James could not be more accommodating and knowledgeable. All the apartments are equipped with absolutely everything one might need. The town of Cauterets is very welcoming and absolutely beautiful. There are walks/hikes for every fitness level. The spa is a must. I can't possibly say enough about Muclares and Cauterets and suggest you visit yourself.

“Home in the mountains!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

Such a beautiful place to stay and relax in the Pyrenees! We stayed in Viscos for 4 nights. The check in process was so easy. We had all the information we needed before we arrived. The apartment was perfect for my husband and I. It had everything we needed. Plenty of space to make ourselves at home. The view from our balcony was breathtaking! We spent most evenings there with a bottle of wine! The internet would not work in our room but the lounge area downstairs was very cozy and the internet worked well there. Hope to return some day!!

“The complete holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

Finding a holiday destination that ticks all boxes for two adults and two teenage children can be a fairly tall order, and for us it is difficult to imagine anywhere coming closer than Mulcares in the Pyrenees. Amongst our particular wishes was to enjoy the mountain landscape, and we found a well signposted network of paths to take you as far into the mountains as you care to go. Many routes lead directly out of Cauterets.
After a tiring day trying to keep up with the fit ones, our apartment, Vignemale, afforded ample space for us all to put our feet up in comfort. The apartment is well equipped and has bags of character, on top of which it comes with the Mulcares friendly in-house information service, an extensive knowledge and library of activities and maps. We also took good advice on the places to eat, there are several to choose from, many within a short stroll of the apartment. We were very lucky to find this apartment available at the time we booked, and can only imagine that once word gets out on how good it is, it is going to become very difficult to secure a booking; perhaps for that reason I should have given it an awful description, but you can't hide something this good for very long. We will just have to make sure to book earlier next time.
