We visited this hotel on the way through France to Switzerland and Italy just for lunch and had to come back for a little longer stay. So, on the way back we stayed the night. We booked the best suite in the hotel, expensive of course, but oh wow what luxury. Under a wonderful warm wooden chalet roof miles above us, we had a huge bedroom, seating area, dining area, walk-in wardrobe, a bathroom to die for and a beautiful flower-filled balcony big enough for an army. Our own private access lift (elevator), big comfy bed and warm elegant (wooden rustic) decor completed the picture.
Food was simply gorgeous, with all the trimmings at dinner, from an amuse bouche onwards. A Michelin star had been awarded of course and impeccable restaurant service was standard in a super atmosphere. The wine list was unbelievable (I love Gewurtztraminer and there were 15 of them on one page alone). Perhaps our table waiter could have smiled a little though!! Breakfast was fine too. The decor and attention to detail was wonderful, I have never seen such beautiful loos!!
