Having just returned from our second visit in two years to Le Grand Tetris Hotel I felt compelled to write a 'Review' after reading some negative ones about this place. I can't really fathom what people expect from hotels sometimes but then I guess that's people for you.
Personally we had a great time, 4 couples last year and 9 of us this year mixed ages and gender, we all enjoyed the hotel.
Importantly the staff were yet again welcoming and friendly without being creepy and the hotel was warm with spotlessly clean nice bedrooms and bathrooms. We enjoyed the breakfasts with a good range of continental style foods on offer. On the hotel's top floor there is a nice little indoor pool for a dip and outside a great hot tub with amazing views to relax in after a full days skiiing, there's also a sauna.
The hotel is centrally located in town and just a couple of minute's walk to the ski lift. The best little French pub in town is just a couple of doors along from the hotel and is run by 2 brothers who made us English people very welcome, especially when the Rugby was on the plasma t.v.
So the hotel is friendly, comfortable, clean, warm ,good value and did everythiong we wanted it to do no problem including the staff who happily served us breakfast at 6.00 a.m.. on the day we departed.
