Tip 1: Our first tip is to get a diiferent room than we did (3rd floor up, tiny room, beds with very saggy matresses, smallest room on floor).
Tip 2: if you've paid a deposit by internet, check on arrival exactly how much you be required to pay as the balance; so you will not be surprised to learn at checkout time that they want you to pay more for the room you used than the internet-reserved room rate (and I'm not just talking about the normal room taxes). On that topic, don't expect what you heard one person say at check-in to be the same thing they they recall having told you. The tip is that paying the outstanding total on arrival (after checking out your beds) and getting a 'fully paid receipt' then could have eliminated this problem for us.
Tip 3: since there's no elevator and narrow stairs to carry your own bags up several flights, pack very lightly.
Personally, I'd be finding a different place to stay next time.
