“Dont stay here, bad service, rubbish pitches but... nice toilet blocks.”

We stayed here 26/8/2011 after booking on line and were looking forward to a couple of days stopover in our motorhome. Were directed to a pitch about a half mile from reception. Lots of space but the pitch was poorly maintained with a holes gravel and a few patches of grass and a dusty road loading to the site. On the plus side a nice beach within a short walk and lovely toilets and showers. First night was OK next night we had noisey neighbours during the day until 2am in the morning. An English carribean family from Essex who turned up in a hired van spolied everyones holiday ( two of them were sleeping in the van as they only had two small tents for 7 people). We asked for a new pitch and on a site of 600 touring pitches " surprisingly none could be found". Reception just not interested as they had lots of bookings( from mugs). If you are looking to stay in this part of the Med camping then DONT stay here. Its overun with kids who take priority everywhere. It cost us 10 Euro for two beers and im sure you can find better sites in this area. If you are in motorhome stay at St Pierre La Mer ( Aire de Camping ) for 6 euros. LOvely site near to beach a short walk from a great resort with lots of bars etc etc. We wont stay at any camping site in France again.......its Aires De France for us from now.

Room Tip: We would not stay in french commercial sites if this is what you get

“A lively site that does many things well, not all pitches are great.”

In many ways this is what French campsites do well. Lots of things for kids to do, evening entertainment, good food options and campsite shops - including an excellent bakery (best we have seen due to choice and never seeming to run out of bread and croissants). Pool could be open earlier than 10am, though the beach is handy, clean and sandy. Turn right and you very quickly come to the naturist section which caused some amusement for the kids.

Parc staff were more positive and helpful than some we have come across. Al fresco reps were also excellent though we couldn't help notice that Selectcamp and Eurocamp had better pitches. Prices felt expensive, though much what we have come to expect in France. There are several nearby supermarkets to cut down on shopping costs.

“Very family friendly, relaxing, and affordable!”

We rented a 3 bedroom cabana steps from the beach. It had more comforts than home! The kitchen was adorable, efficient, and even had a dishwasher! The living room was comfortable and the kids loved their rooms. The adult room was a tad small with a smallish bed, but that is my only complaint. We shopped at the grocer, bakery, and fish monger and fed the family (of 5) for 15-20 euros per night including wine. The porch was a lovely place to have our meals. I don't think we ate inside even once. The takeaway was great too. The onsite restaurant was delicious but pricey, we only ate there once in 8 days. The activities for kids were great, the playgrounds, the parcour course, the pools, the trampolines, the bike trails, the kid clubs, the shows, and last but not least, the BEACH. We adults loved the Balneo area, the relaxing atmosphere, and the food! I also took a few water aerobics courses and they were great fun. Did I mention there was air conditioning and free wifi? Oh- and the best bit, the place is landscaped to the nines! Trees, shrubs, flowers, and herbs growing everywhere you look! It is quite beautiful.

Room Tip: the red cabanas are closest to the beach, and newly redone.

“Some good facilities but too overcrowded and expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2011

We have just returned from an 8-night stay at Le Serignan Plage. We rented a standard mobile home, which we booked directly with Yelloh. The mobile was fine apart from the fact that the camp-site doesn't rent out bath towels so we had to buy extra ones at the local Hyper-U to save having to use our beach towels after showering. There was also no dish drainer and the gas hob was not self-lighting. This wouldn't have been a problem but the matches all went damp in the humid weather so we had to risk burning our fingers with a cigarette lighter each time we lit the gas. On the plus side the bedroom windows had mosquito nets so we could leave the kids' bedroom window open at night without any worries.

The campsite has some great facilities, a quadri-lingual mini-club that our 5 and 7 year old attended several times, an adults-only 'balneo' pool area, a semi-professional animation team, several playground areas and a location right on a good beach.

However, on the downside this campsite is extremely busy and we felt the main pool was far too small to cater for the number of clients. An indoor pool is mentioned in the brochure but it is tiny and is only for toddlers and babies. There were also 4 queues for the bakery each morning and it took us about 15 minutes to get our morning baguette. The overcrowdedness affected the evening entertainment too as there is a bit of a scrum for chairs with some people sitting themselves in the front row over an hour before the start of the show!

There are 2 restaurants on the campsite, both of which are pretty expensive. The take-away is fine although again, you have to wait around a bit to collect your order. We didn't find anywhere near to Serignan Plage to eat out. Valras Plage along the coast has plenty of restaurants but it was pretty tacky and again really crowded. We went into Beziers one night but we don't recommend it. Although it is quite a large town it isn't that picturesque and we struggled to find any restaurants. A place we would recommend visiting, however, is Pezenas, the home of Moliere, which is about 30 minutes drive from Serignan Plage. It has a wonderful old town with art galleries and lots of little restaurants.

All in all, I would probably recommend this campsite out of season but if you don't like crowds this place isn't for you.

“Beautiful place, bad service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2011

For the second year we spent two weeks in this Yellow village (in the naturist camping).
The place is beautiful: directly on the beach, shaped, not crowded.
There is a beautiful spa that is naturist in the morning and textile in the afternoon

Unfortunately the service is not so good.

People - especially receptionist - are not so kind and they have a controlling function instead of to help and inform customers about services, plays, places around and so on.

Mini Club is curious: some times I found my boy (5 yo) outside without any control during the activities time (not so dangerous but ..)

The structures are new but this year we had a terrible spring mattress.

So definitively a wasted opportunity: a wonderful place with a bad service.

The restaurants are better, but they could do better.

The textile camper is terrible, crowded, noisy etc etc
