WE arrived by train & got a taxi to the hotel which was "up the hill"only because of our luggage, otherwise it is a lovely 15-20 minute walk.
The hotel is lovely old world style, with comfy chesterfield lounges in the reception-bar area. Very helpful staff & centrally located. The rooms are average size, although the toilet was like a wardrobe, & you couldn't close the door until you sat!! All fun though!!
Even though the hotel is on the rambla we did have trouble finding somewhere for dinner the first night, but when we did it was lovely (it was a Tuesday night) everyother night there was much more open, just keep wandering around up & down the little streets.
We had 2 rooms on the first floor & overlooked the charming little courtyard, which is lovely for an afternoon drink! There is also a lift.
We did a day trip to Sete on the train, so pleased we did, a very pretty place. It was Wednesday & there was a great market on when we arrived.
The next day we did a day trip to Pezenas on the local bus, beautful & very old. If you go make sure you go to the tourist bureau & do the walk of the "old section" which dates back to the 1100's & 1200's
