Had great time with the kids. The staff are very helpful and the area is great for exploring the pyrenees. The local mini-markets/take-aways are good value. The apartments are basic but very good value.

So first, this was a really good experience. And (as a very picky) customer I would recommend it - especially in france where there are frequently too many idiosyncrasies.

It is an apart hotel - similar to what you would get in, say a Marriot Suites, Nice small kitchen area - fridge, microwave and hob.

Location - this is in Argeles Port - so dont set your sat nav for Argeles Village. Not walking distance to the town but a 4 min ride. There are ample restaurants 100 yds in the port - they looked as touristy as anywhere.

Rooms are larger than average in this 7 year old hotel ( it looks younger than that. We paid £34 per night in April for a 2 room appt - expect that to triple in high season.

It is an appart hotel - so expect to pay extra for towels 7 euro p/person - though linen is included.

There is no maid service but then .....

So - very good, clean tiled floors everywhere, large balconies with 4 chairs and a table.

Just returned from a trip to Argeles sur Mer. The apartments were basic but clean. Can't rate the helpfulness of the staff highly enough. We arrived 2 hours after reception closed (late flight into Perpignan) One of the staff had stayed late especially to welcome us. Although the accomodation was full of French holidaymakers they were pleasant and made every effort to communicate with us - me using rather rusty schoolboy French All the cafe/restaurant staff we encountered couldn't have been more helpful. The Port itself is well designed and quite spectacular. Our apartment overlooked the marina and the Med. From the rear of the "Port" guests had views of the Pyrenees. The price of the one bed apartment was very reasonable and the area really is the best end of Argeles sur Mer. The Plage Centre is a bit more commercialised with fast food outlets and a street full of little shops but you can take it or leave it and it certainly doesn't affect the Port area. The Town of Argeles is steeped in history and has some nice litle shops and patisseries etc. If you want to step back in time walk through to Le Racou (max 10 minutes) My wife and myself would recommend it
