We have just returned from le Bois Fleuri, and have had a wonderful time. We had not visited this area of France before, and after booking cheap flights early on, found that most sites were fully booked. The brochure did not sell the place well, and the low price left us thinking that we were going to a fairly average place.
We stayed in a self catering bungalow (This was all that was available) which was fairly basic, but met all our needs. It was so hot anyway that we were only in it to cook and sleep. There was masses of room both inside and out, plenty of room for the children to play around your accomodation without disturbing the neighbours. Plenty of trees for shade. There was a full sized oven, which is rarely found in self catering accomodation in France. There were chalets on the site which were much more luxurious, with air conditioning etc. The caravans were nearer the pool and had less space and it was much busier and noisier if you were right in the centre.
The pool complex was lovely, three small slides, a bucket which tipped every few minutes. It was very busy the first week, and it was difficult to get a sun lounger, but the second week was much quieter.
There is a large area for sports with 2 football/rugby pitches, volleyball, boules, trim trail, 3 tennis courts, 3 ping pong tables. Our children were happy for hours.
The restaurant was fairly average, serving a fixed price buffet, but with a different theme most nights. There was a good snack bar, a very small arcade so we weren't constantly being harrassed by the kids for money.
Negative points.
We were the only English there. Mostly French, German and Dutch.
Very busy the first week. Try to avoid school holidays if you can.
