I've never been in a hotel - above all a chain - with gruffer staff than the people at the Kyriad Villepinte. No smiles, no greetings, no "please" or "thank you". The maid entered my room at 8:45 in the morning without knocking. I groaned and she proceeded to scold me for not putting the "do not disturb" sign on the door. As if it was my fault that she enters my room while I am sleeping. The restaurant fish soup made me sick and they wouldn't let me pack a doggy bag. I needed change for a fifty from reception - "not possible!" I am not sure who trained these people but this is NOT international hospitality standards. France can have some bad customer service, and the Kyriad Villepinte exemplified the worst of it.
