We booked our stay through Eurostar's website.
Do not opt for the Paris Visite passes from their webite, as you will only get a Zone 1 to 3 pass. You need a Zones 1 to 6 in order to travel to Villepinte. Buy one when you get to Paris instead, from an RATP office (at most stations).
Campanile Villepinte is not easily accessible from Villepinte station. Get off one stop before at Sevran Beaudottes, on the RER B line to CDG. Take the number 1 bus to Espace V, or the more frequent number 15 to Lycee Rostand, then walk the remaining hundred metres. If you are feeling fit, you can walk it in 30 minutes. Just ask for directions to Espace 5.
Forget about getting a taxi from either Sevran, or Villepinte stations. There aren't any. You'll have to phone for one, then explain in detail (in french) where you are, and what you can see in front of you!?! Then they'll hang up on you.
If you are travelling back late from Paris to the hotel, you'll be walking to the hotel, as buses stop at 8pm round there.
This place (esp station)is well suburban, but quickly improves as you round the corner near the Carrefour and Peugot garage. So if you are easily intimidated by unfamiliar places, make sure you know where you're going for sure, so you can get a head start walking. Get on google maps, and familiarise yourself with the route (I was lucky, I had a GPS device to fall back on and ended up walking my rolling suitcase the 2.9km to the hotel when I had given up trying to figure out the buses and taxis).
We didn't eat at the hotel, so can't comment on the food. However, service was good, the room was clean and warm, hot water in abundance, with a TV and mini kettle.
For good food, look out the back, and head for the Buffalo Grill with the illuminated red roof. English speaking waiters on hand, and really good value, tasty burgers and steaks. Or there's a Chinese buffet off the roundabout about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. There's also an ATAC supermarket right opposite (don't forget, you have to buy your carrier bag for 10 cents). This serves well for a cheap breakfast, and picnic supplies to take with you for the day.
