I have had a morning flight to Cayenne in February 2011 and have searched for a room near the airport Orly. The room was clean and quite. Free shuttle to and from the airport. McDonalds less then 100 meter from the hotel.

this is a typical Ibis hotel, average and basic. Why do they not allow you to collect A Club points for the stay during the week? very strange.
The food is basic and typical of an Ibis especially an airport hotel. The beds are foam and foam pillows also so your sleep will be on the border.
Was this value for money ? well compaired to this sister Novotel or Mercure yes they need to get some happy staff at check in and check out.

The hotel is a standard hotel - clean room and bathroom a bed where you can sleep. The restaurent I cannot recomend. It is not the waiter that is the problem but the shef who need to be changed. The shef had 2 chances but miss both even though there was only 3 table occupied - We ordered Steak and Burger wich should be easy to make.

I'd had a good experience at a Ibis hotel not long before this, and needing a hotel close to the airport with shuttle service for an early flight the next morning, I gave this one a spin. More or less what I expected--clean, comfortable, modern looking, but by no means trendy. There was a cafeteria/restaurant that was open pretty late, but I didn't try it out myself. No toothbrush kit, so bear that in mind. Shuttles to the airport every 30 mins, starting around 5am.

Only other thing worth mentioning is that there is a massive, warehouse type club across the street, and late at night on a weekend, you can hear the bass thumping a bit outside the window. It wasn't loud enough to keep me awake, but I definitely noticed it as I was getting into bed.

I noted a bunch of teenagers checking-in around 6am when the club closed, probably just to crash out after a night partying as the airport is a ways out from the city, but again, unless you get up super early, I doubt you'd even run into them.

For my needs--a convenient, cheap, comfortable place to spend the night before catching an early plane--it was perfectly fine.
