Orly seems to be a tough place to find a good hotel.
I know its an Airport location and you take what you can get for a late night fly in or an early fly out - in my case both, but once you left the reception area, the hotel had the look of somewhere that had been renovated copiously from the 1980's stucco ceiling and walls, to the room door which had obviously had about 4 generations of room locks fitted and refitted to it to the lighting that didn't work in the toilet....
Yes there was WIFI, Yes the room is the room in their photos on the web site - but I will ask for the photographers name becuase he's done an amazing job making it look better than it is....
But I guess Novotel don't care because guests are just passing traffic and most people stay a night and are gone and despite all this they are still number one on TA.
Watch out for the fact that the shuttle bus is a multi-stop and this is the last hotel on its route - it makes the 5 minutes from the airport take about 25 minutes in total. The bus only comes every 30 minutes to the airport so if you are unlucky the 5 minute journey could take nearly an hour.
If this is the best that Orly / Rungis can offer, I think next time I would go and stay a bit further away for something a little more comfortable and a little less time machine to the 80's. I did think about staying at the Hilton at the airport before chosing here based upon the fact that the Novotel looked more modern... And having seen the Hilton from the outside, it looks like its going to be the same story there as here.
Shame really.....
