“Orly Rungis or Paris central”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

This is a very good place to stay if you have an early flight. You might chose to stay in Rungis because It is about half the price of a hotel room in central Paris. Getting to Paris centre requires the Novotel shuttle to the airport, a bus for the airport to Rungis Pont (2.5 euros) and then a train (less then 5 euros). Obviously the round trip for two is 28 euros so there is a trade off between economy of hotel against travel time to city centre.
Rungis is a bit out of the way and my wife says that of we were to spend a couple of days in Paris prior to our flight we should aim to get a later flight and stay in the centre. If this not possible stay at the Novotel Rungis.

Dear Guest,

I thank you for having considered our hotel for your stay in Paris.

I am glad you enjoyed our location, close the Orly's Airport and not very far away, by car, from the city centre of Paris.

Hoping to welcome you very soon again.

Best Regards.

“Typical Novotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

Clean, tidy & close to Orly Airport with their free shuttle.
My only beef is that you had to pay for overnight parking & given the many hotels in the area that provide free parking, this this was a bit over the top.

“First class service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

The hotel itself is your run of the mill chain but really the service was outstanding! From the man at the reception who spoke 3 languages perfectly (whilst I was at the reception maybe he knows some more) and kept his calm and a smile with some very irritating clients whilst I for one would have lost it. All the staff I got to meet, from the desk to the girl serving breakfast and the waiter in the restaurant were polite, smiling, efficient without being obsequious.
Top class team!
Oh one hiccup, the shuttle what a disaster! Between the wait and changes of drivers it took an hour to reach the hotel!

“Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

We stayed here due to a changeover in flights and the proximity of the hotel to the Paris Orly airport. Having said that there are other hotels closer howver the free hotel shuttle runs every 30 mins.

The room was very large with a lounge and large bed. The beds was incredible - I wish I had one at my house. The rooms are very quiet - no noise at all.

The free buffet breakfast was excellent.

This is a great hotel however I would not recommend this hotel for people wishing to visit Paris to see the sights as it is too far away.

“OK hotel if you need to be close to Orly airport”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011

OK hotel if you need to be close to Orly airport. We booked this hotel before and after our holiday with flights out of Paris Orly. Staff are friendly and rooms are clean. Good quality breakfast with sufficient choices of food. The only negative is the shuttle bus service. We have to wait for more than 40 minutes both times while the schedule is every 30 minutes.
That is why I only give an average rating for this hotel and we probably won't be staying here next time. The location is in the middle of nowhere so really only good if you need a night sleep before or after a flight. There is nothing of interest for a tourist in the area. There is a MC Donald close by if you need some non hotel food. There is also a shop by a gas station that sells drinks and snacks. Upon checkout we asked about taxi price for a ride to go to the Gare du Nord station and was advised that it should be around 30-40euros so we ordered a taxi but in the end the taxi ride had cost us 55 euros which is very expensive. Had I known this then I would have taken the metro.

Dear Guest,

I thank you for having chosen our hotel for your stay in Paris.

I am glad to read that you have enyoyed your stay despite of transportation annoyance.
I understand your comment however, the timetable of the shuttle bus depends also from the traffic jam and any kind of disturbance at the airport or on the road towards it. We try to do our best in those cases to solve things as rapidely as possible.
The same matter about the taxi rides. The staff can only inform about approximative rates that are also depending on traffic jams and the taxi companies.
I am anyway sorry about that.

I hope that you will anyway consider our hotel for your next stay in Paris.

Best Regards.
