Stayed at the hotel twice in a three-week period in Oct/Nov 2011. I needed an IHG hotel which free transportation to CDG. It's a great location for travelers wanting to stay close to airport, but beware that getting to downtown Paris using public transportation (a combo of the bus and the city's Le Metro) from the hotel will take you about 90 minutes, because of the distance and extended routes buses take.
Both the hotel's exterior and interior was recently modernized and had a fresh feel to it: The lobby touted an electric kiosk which displayed when the next community "Black Bus" would be by to depart for the airport. Our sleeping room had a flat screen TV inside on a wall swivel, which was nice.
As Holiday Inn Platinum members, we got upgraded to an Executive room, which - I'm assuming - was bigger than a standard room. Our room had a free mini-bar (juice & sodas only) and a mini-fridge. The front desk clerk, Andrea, was very kind, providing service with a smile and giving us complimentary drink coupons upon check-in (a benefit the hotel provides to its Elite Priority Club members). At the restaurant, Gwen, was very friendly and quick with our food order.
My only issue with this location, is well... its location. Even though this Holiday Inn is only 5 miles from the CDG airport, its takes about 30-40 minutes to get to airport from the hotel because the public transportation option servicing the hotel (the "Black bus") makes mandatory stops at various other hotels before finally getting to the airport. So if you have to fly internationally - leave the hotel 3 hours before your flight!
Finally, the hotel gives free WiFi - which seems to be a luxury in and around Paris, so that added value to our stay.
