We used this hotel as a base for visiting Disneyland, Paris, with our son and daughter-in-law and 4 yrs old granddaughter.
When we arrived we were very impressed with the location, but got the distinct feeling that the hotel was not expecting us - despite pre-booking some months previously through Best Western. We were despatched to two adjoining outside rooms 'in the park' (nos 30 and 31). Although the rooms were very well appointed, no bed had been provided for our granddaughter; this was subsequently supplied whilst we were having dinner in the restaurant. The meal was excellent although little choice for vegetarians. The chef prepared an omelette for our granddaughter which was not on the menu but she enjoyed it.
We had no problems until Saturday night, when we realised that the rooms opposite ours - just 4 metres or so away - were being used for a wedding reception and disco. The resulting noise went on until almost 3.00am despite two telephone calls to reception at 1.30am and 2.30am. We had been given no warning and suffered a very sleepless night prior to a long journey back to England.
The hotel is charming and on complaint, we were not charged for that night's
accommodation.
If you book with this hotel, ensure that you are given a room in the Chateau or share our fate!
