HOTEL KYRIAD PRESTIGE LE BLANC MESNIL is quite ok and comfortable and the hotel restaurant served nice food. The only problem we had was its location necessitating a taxi from CDG as there is no nearby metro stations. The bus into Paris was slow in the congestic traffic.

Having got caught up in a French strike my flight home was cancelled and the airline put me up in this hotel.

It's located near to the airport amongst a group of similar hotels but there are no shops or anything to do nearby (although there was a fairly nice park across the road).

The nearest shops were actually over a mile away requiring a walk along a busy dual carriageway.

The room had clearly seen better days - there were tears in the wallpaper and there was mould growing in the sealant between the bath and the wall tiles. The bolt was broken on the door and the air conditioning seemed to just make the room hotter.

The one thing going for it was the breakfast - there was an excellent selection of the normal continental breakfast items, a couple of hot items (sausages, omlette etc) and some great coffee. Unfortunately, other meals were boring and repetative - a reasonable cold buffet but a boring hot buffet consisting of roast meat, fish and potatoes or rice.

Whilst I expect a hotel bar to be expensive this one was ridiculous considering the state of the hotel - a pint of Carlsberg costing €7.50

Certainly not a hotel I'll be recommending to anyone.

Thot i add my 2cts since there is just 1 review, hope this will help anyone that need to stay in this hotel. I m typing in one of their rm. ok it is france so service is well at lukewarm but good enough. location is pretty bad. This place is meant for drive in ... there are several similar class hotels next to it.

My stay is arranged by tour operator so i dun know how much it cost but they hotel advert at 69 euros per night. ok here is my assessment:

- Room decent size. I have 2 x Triple rm for 5 of us (2 adults and 3 young kids). In the end we all sleep in one of them and kept the other empty.
- Breakfast. Pretty good continental style. Good coffee. Good enough to kick start you day.
- Internet. Free and decent speed.
- Tv - all french
- Svc - in france dun expect too much. I asked for power plug and was asked to go get it myself. When at reception get it in an instance. left my key in the room and went to reception and instantly the guy walk with me to open the door. i guess overall good.
- Location. poor, there is nothing nearby. There is a regional shopping center with Carrefour about 1.5KM away. It is not difficult to walk there and u can find food there. Just off the carpark of the hotel there is a pizza shop but i did not try it. RER station is far away about 2.5KM. Did not enough try to make it. CDG airport is 7km away only but i dun know how to get there think u will need private arrangement or taxi.

If you can find this hotel then its OK, it took me 2 hours from the centre of Blanc Mesnil, but of course its nowhere near here its up the motorway in an industrial estate.

Staff are great, food is great, rooms are OK, so nothing wrong here for a business stay, on e would not choose this for leisure, well one might but I cant see why!
