“Enjoyable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

We got a map and directions to the hotel from the Information office in town.Hotel is somewhat difficult to find. Room was small but clean. Breakfast was very good, with the standard croissants, rolls, jam, coffee, cereals, etc - plus ham and various cheeses - continually being restocked with food - and tables cleared and cleaned efficiently. Breakfast cost 8 euros-best value of our 3 week tour of France. Bed was the most comfortable on our trip and that includes the Sheraton at Charles de Gaulle airport, which cost 259 euros/night. Our room on the 3rd floor cost 66 euros for a weekend night. The staff was very good, courteous, and friendly. There is no elevator - front desk clerk asked if we needed help with our bags - we're 74 and 76 years old respectively. We handled them ourselves.

Room Tip: Seems as if the 3rd floor was non-smoking. We stayed there. No air conditioning, but was cool that n...

“Transit stopover”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

Bar reception was a bit slow due to the staff member being engrossed with friends but otherwise all was perfect. The restaurant staff were particularly friendly, efficient and helpful. Will have no hesitation in stopping here again if circumstances permit.

“The best thing about this hotel was...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

The best thing about this hotel.... they didn't bother to action our wake up call so we got an extra half an hour in bed.

A pet hamster would have felt right at home - the room/hotel was small, cheap and it is possible that all of the furniture is actually made from cardboard! Also said hamster could use the bath as a water bowl, it was certainly small enough! (Before you get any preconceived ideas, I am only 5ft 6 and size 10uk so would easily splash about in a normal bath intended for actual humans to bathe in)

For those who left positive reviews - the photo is very misleading! I would double check that you have actually left your review for the correct hotel.
If I were to visit Compiegne again, depsite having cycled 90 miles already or not, I would certainly continue to peddle all the way past this hotel!

PS - fitness centre? do you mean the stairs?

Room Tip: Choose another hotel!

“Great Hotel, dont let the location put you off”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011

This hotel was spot on, very clean & comfortable. its location in a residential area shouldn't put you off. There is a supermarket 300 yds away and also variouse reasonable restaurants within 1 mile, (Les 3 brassiers, Buffalow Grill etc. Didn't think too much of the restaurants in town. A great tip, go to the palace in town on the 1st sunday of the month ITS FREE just pay 1 euro for an english audio guide
