We stayed for 3 nights with Riveria Travel. Be prepared for a bit of a trek from the coach to the hotel itself as there is no public road outside.

On arrival we didn't have to queue to book in and were allocated rooms immediately with the representative Cass. We had some information given to us but we feel we could have more especially about the cost of the local restaurants and bars. It seems it depends who you get as a rep, some have more knowledge than others. Avoid the red canopy restaurants if you don't want to spend 5.50 Euros for a bottle of water. Others were great value (the Chinese around the corner) a two course meal and half bottle of wine approximately 20E

The staff in the hotel were friendly except for the lady on the bar who promptly flashed the lights and closed the bar without asking if we would like another drink before she went off duty at 11.45pm, about 10 mins later all the people who had been the show returned to find the bar shut which didn't go down too well. She was extremely unpleasant and not all friendly at other times also.

Just back from spending 4 days in Paris with Riviera Travel, a great weekend break made even better by our tour guide Andy, he was very informative and gave us lots of useful info and tips for travelling around Paris. Hotel was not central but no problem as in a quiet residential area and only 5/10 mins walk from the Metro line no. 9 direct to Eiffel Towel and Champes Elysees. Couple of restaurants all within walking distance of hotel which were very reasonably priced as not in the city centre.
Highly recommend travelling with Riveria, as they were very well organised, but also had free time to do you own thing.

My partner and i have just returned from a 4 day/3 night trip to Paris with Riviera Travel.
We travelled on Eurostar from St Pancreas and stayed at Mercure Porte de St Cloud. Paris was amazing but everyone knows and expects that.
The Hotel was good and worth the extra cost of upgrade. Be aware that there are no tea /coffee facilities, minimal toitetries , that drinks in the bar are exhorbitant and that your trip entitles you to a large room with bath/shower. The hotel was very well situated for travelling aroung Paris. Handy for the metro and all praise to the 72 bus route which as previosly stated in trip advisor 'goes almost everywhery '.
Riviera travel was exceptional and I would recommend the company to anyone thinking of travelling on an escorted city break. The organisation was superb, Richard our guide was brilliant and the tour was the perfect combination of organised and free time. The whole 4 days went like clockwork.

My wife and I went on a Riviera four day break leaving from London St Pancras on Eurostar to Paris staying at the Hotel Mercure Porte de St Cloud.
This is not so much about the hotel as we had no complaints, but about the trip as a whole, which we could not fault.
When we arrived at Gare de Nord our guide Richard was waiting and took us to our coach which was a couple of hundred yards from the station due to parking problems. Although some of our party were getting on in years there were no problems, this was a similar problem at the hotel as the coach could not drop us outside the doors of the hotel due to weight limits.
This trip would not I fear be suitable for someone confined totally to wheelchair but if you can manage the coach steps you would be ok. I can only say that the trip was as it was described and Paris was wonderful, the boat trip was ok but to long and slow for our liking and the views from the Seine were limited.
The trip to Versailles was interesting although we did not go in the house but enjoyed the amazing gardens. Our guide Richard made the trip, he came on all the coach excursions he was a mine of information had a dry wit and couldnt have been more helpful.
We were lucky and had blue sky and warm sun. The travel around Paris was no problem we bought a 'Carnet' of ten tickets and the buses and Metro were about five minutes from the Hotel. We found eating out in Paris probably the same as in any other european city. We would recommend this Riviera trip.

A lovely hotel. Bar v expensive. Near Metro and easy access to city. Out of hotel turn left, right at next road and there is a chinese takeaway 300m on right- cheap, cheerful and good. Out of hotel go straight on to next main road. Cross road to supermarket. Street market in Avenue Versailles on some days. At Versailles don't use the signposted toilets go to the ones by the cafeteria in the building opposite. Queues at Versailles can be daunting. Go to Tourist info and get a Versailles Pass, you pay twice as much but skip the huge queues.
