“Just as in Paris”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

This hotel is just outside of Paris but it doesn't matter at all. There is a metro station 5 minutes walk away (Porte de St. CLoud, in Paris) that brings you directly to the Champs Elysées and les Galeries Lafayette/Printemps (shopping area). The lobby and the bar are nice and the room was quite clean. We had a prestige room because it was the only room category left when we did our reservation and it was very good but a little bit noisy because it was just beside the elevators. The staff is very helpful and polite. We didn't try the breakfast. I would definitely recommand this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at a high level and far from the elevators.

“Always leave dissapointed ....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011 via mobile

Second time I have stayed here and though my room was marginally better this time it is an expensive stay for dated rooms which are all quite small - in need of some investment ondecor, etc. I always ending up queuing at reception - mostly because of the poor efficiency of the staff, and their preference for answering the phone rather than serving customers. One bright light this time was the service in the bar....but it was a small light in another dim experience....

“Nice hotel on edge of Paris city center.”

Hotel is very nice. Location is a ten minute walk from the Porte de St. Cloud metro station. Although it is not central, the metro takes you everywhere. No worries. A few nice restaurants nearby and three food markets with decent wine selection. Did not realize, but it is not far from Roland Garros (French Open). Huge park near the hotel for jogging. Staff was knowledgable and spoke fluent English. Free WIFI and free use of a computer near the lobby. I logged on and printed my airline boarding pass. Only negative aspect I experienced with this hotel was the breakfast. Very basic and bland. Needs improvement.

“A gem away from it all in Paris”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

I had 3 days in Paris to explore it all (it was my first time visiting Paris) this must sound crazy to most but it was just about enough time in my opinion!

I have to say trying to find this hotel was rather difficult especially considering we arrived very late evening and I've never used the Parisian metro system before.

That being said I was overwhelmed by the size of the hotel - by far the biggest one I've ever stayed at! Beautifully clean, modern, sophisticated. The staff were more then happy to help with any queries.

The room is very decently sized I can't imagine having the whole room to myself!
I'm not sure if this is standard in all rooms but I love the fact that there was complementary coffees and teas!
The bath/shower was amazing!

Also there are a lot of good value bakeries and restaurants right outside Port St Cloud station I prefer it to all of the commercialised crap in central Paris. Definitely worth a visit to the area if you do not want all the fuss of tourists and people trying to scam you!

I would definitely try other mecure hotels.

Room Tip: Get a room on the middle floor for a better view
