This hotel is on the very outskirts of town, a 15euro taxi fare to the historical centre of Dole. It is in a car park in an industrial centre. The hosts are disinterested and could not even help us with directions to town - it is by nbr 4 or 5 bus but these stop by 7pm.
They have good showers but this hotel is nothing but a highway stop if you have no interest in seeing Dole.

We have used this hotel as a stopover on four separate occasions.
When your looking for a budget hotel Hotel Eric is hard to beat, with staff providing a friendly welcome, with an excellent buffet style breakfast to be had on departure. Rooms are modern and clean, with free internet access. A small pool for residents is a bonus after a long drive from the Channel ports. You will also find secure parking (which is locked at night) provided at the rear of the Hotel.

We tried an alternative hotel this year on our outward journey - The Leader Hotel in Foucherons but it fell far short of what Hotel Eric provided for the money.

From the hotel's description we expected a hotel on the edge of town and were appalled to find it in an industrial estate. We were extremely disappointed, and decided to look at the room before taking in our luggage. On entering, the reception area wreaked of stale cigarette smoke and the staff appeared slovenly and disinterested. When viewing our room all corridors smelt musty, the room was basic to the extreme, tired, and smelt dreadful. Although we weren't expecting luxury for 51 euros we do expect cleanliness and a fresh feel to the accommodation. This hotel was so poor we decided to just lose our money and find an alternative place to stay.
