We were travelling North, back to the UK, and this was an overnight stopover for the 3 of us. I had checked the hotel out on this site, and there was nothing terrible said.
A previous reviewer is right, it is in a strange location, right next to the race circuit - when no racing is on a fairly desolate place. But, there is a good swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room. and pool table. The restaurant serves good food.

We arrived mid afternoon, and felt we were the only people in the hotel, then by 4 to 5pm there were at least 20 -30 people in the bar and restaurant, and a great evening was had.

The rooms are slightly tired, but clean. The location is infact good if you are travelling through, nicely off the main road (no traffic noise), but easy to get back onto your route the next morning.

PS - Take the time out to look at the stained glass in Nevers cathedral just down the road - it is just so different!!

The Holiday Inn at Magny-Cours is in a strange location. It is situated on a sort of industrial estate near the racetrack. The hotel staff said that they get a lot of guests from the racetrack. There were few other guests at the hotel while we were there. You can hear the noise of the racing cars from the poolside.
The hotel itself I would rate as a 3 star. It has a small outside pool with lovely views across the farmland. There is a 9 hole golf course. Breakfast and meals there were average. Beware - the hotel has a resident cat which was really fat and mooched for food whilst we ate. Our room overlooked the golf course and was clean.
The hotel staff were pleasant and friendly.
Nevers is about a 10 minute drive away and is well worth a visit. There is a market on Saturday morning.We were staying there to attend a family wedding nearby. We flew to Limoges and it took us 3 hours to drive to Magny Cours.
