As someone else said, this Accor property should probably be viewed like an Ibis with a free breakfast, although the room is a bit bigger, the bathroom a little nicer, and breakfast much worse than the one you pay for at an Ibis. I don't know what this hotel was before, however it was something else predating its rebirth as an All-Seasons. I'd say it is at least a 20 year old building, probably much older.
On the positive side it is near the train station and downtown. On the negative side the parking situation is not good, and one must pay 9.5 euros per day to use the limited parking in the hotel itself. There is free parking within walking distance but most of it is being used at any given time, and jockeying for a free space in this town which has a lot of traffic (for its size) and many one-way streets is a bit like a game of musical chairs when they speed up the music and remove more than one chair at a time . . . . ..
I did find a free spot but it was not fun.
The breakfast was quite mediocre, basically a bunch of industrial quality products, but with less choice than one finds in an Ibis. There was the possibility to make your own fresh-squeezed orange juice, but the hygeine in the area of the machine and the oranges themselves were not very appetizing, at least to me.
The wifi worked fine. The staff was helpful and accommodating.
Macon does not have very attractive lodging options within easy walking distance to the downtown core. That having been said, this place has to go into the mix. I would stay here again, but only at a good price, and I'd be aware of the parking situation before I made the reservation as I obviously am.
