Located near an Autoroute exit, mid way between the Riviera and the North, we regularly stay at this hotel when travelling by car to/from the Riviera.
Major advantages in our view: pets allowed (10 euro), free available car parking, easy access (with luggage and pets) to the rooms (at ground floor! no elevator to 2nd floor), good restaurant (usually god service as well), spacy room ("superior").
Tip: ask for room on the garden side (noisy truck parking on the other side).

We have used this hotel as a stopping point between London and the South of France for quite a few years now, and have never had a reason to look elsewhere.
The restaurant is pleasant , with a good choice of food and wine. and the staff are always friendly.

I would not recommend staying at Macon. Previously we have stayed here on about 3 occasions, however this year we feel the standard of the hotel has drpped considerably. The decor is run down, our room smelt really bad. The swimming pool is very dirty. The food in the evening was terrible. I had salad Niscoise with hardly any tuna in it. The lettuce was soggy and it only had a quater of an egg in it. They forget mine and my daughters pudding.
