Old accommodation but clean & tidy with an excellent restaurant & superbly professional, helpful & friendly staff.

A standard Mercure, with no surprises. It works quite well as a stop-over point or a base, assuming you can actually find it. I find the food here mediocre, although that's really subjective as it appears that others have liked it. No complaints here, although I might give other hotels a try if I drop by again.

I have stayed at this hotel with my elderly parents many times before on journeys to and from the south of France but never again.
It has recently had a corporate make over and has lost all its individual charm but that's not my main complaint.
On my last stay I had a tray of 3 glasses of red wine poured over me by a trainee waitress. OK accidents happen but I was left dripping in red wine whilst the bar staff cleaned the table, floor, and rushed away from me. I was eventually given a cloth to mop myself after I had hit on reception desk shouting for help. Only the sound of my hitting the desk brought anyone to help me. The manager appologised when he realised that the wine had been spilt by his staff. I was drenched - shirt, t shirt, trousers socks and shoes.
I demanded that the clothes be cleaned by the morning which they agreed to do.
The next morning the clothes were returned to me minus the red wine and minus any quality left in the clothes. This was a linen shirt now hard and rough as cheap canvas.
The check out surpassed itself as the receptionist proudly told me that I wouldn't be charged for the wine - that's the wine they threw over me!
Sorry I won't stay again at a hotel that cares so little for it's guests.
