The hote is simple and clean and located in the small town of Chagny.

It is a really good base to explore Burgundy. We stayed two nights and it is very close to all the places you would like to visit.

We ate a Lameloise which is a short walk from the hotel. The dining was a 3.5 hour experience. For those who don't mind using the money saved on accomodations, it is definitely worthwhile.

The walls are a little thin but overall it was excellent value.

We stayed 4 nights at The Hotel de la Poste and recommend it highly. Reception was warm and service at breakfast excellent. In spite of being so close to the town center, the hotel seemed as remote and quiet as a country retreat. The room was ample in size and cleanliness superb. The dining recommendations of Le Grenier a Sel and La Ferte Pizzaria were excellent.

We have no hesitation in recommending all of these establishments.

I stayed one night and found the hotel to be clean, quiet, simple and a good value. I agree with previous review with one exception: although the parking is not locked at night, the gate is closed.

The bedroom had a small TV with a few French stations, a small table with chair, bed with nightstands and closet. The hotel is located in the middle of town, a short distance off the main street, but is situated in a courtyard/ garden-like setting. The owners were picking cherries when I arrived. I found it very peaceful at night.

For one person with breakfast, the bill was 49.50 euros, very reasonably priced for the Burgundy area.

The staff were very helpful. They mailed me a small item I had left in my room at no charge.

We spent one night at this simple little hotel.

Good parking space (locked at night), and all rooms on the ground floor. Our room was bright, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed and spotlessly clean; water was hot and towels soft and very white. It was very quiet at night.

Breakfast was simple with fresh bread and croissants, good coffee, fresh orange juice. Cereal and yoghurt were available. Realistically priced at €6.50.

The whole bill was a very reasonable €69.00.

There is no restaurant, but only two minutes' stroll to the famous (and naturally expensive) Lameloise (where you must book in advance). There are other small restaurants and pizzerias in Chagny.
